Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Tinta ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Using Tinta's colors

Every palette, gradient and mesh gradient in the public library — curated or contributed by the community — is free to use for any purpose, personal or commercial, with no attribution required. Copy the codes, use them in client work, ship them in products. You may not resell or rebrand the Tinta website or its collection as your own product.

The same applies to colors, palettes and code you get from Tinta through an AI assistant (Tinta's MCP server). Don't use the server to copy the library wholesale or to overload it; requests are rate limited.

3. Accounts

Sign-in is handled by third-party providers such as Google or GitHub. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age for digital consent where you live) to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your account secure.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms.

4. Your submissions

You can submit palettes, gradients and mesh gradients for review. By submitting, you confirm you have the right to share them, and you agree that once approved they are offered to everyone on the same free terms as section 2 — free for any use, no attribution required. Color combinations are rarely protectable anyway; this simply makes it explicit. We may still show your display name next to items you contributed.

We may reject or remove any submission at our discretion. If you delete your account, your drafts and unapproved items are deleted; items already approved stay in the public library with your name removed.

5. Uploaded fonts

Fonts you upload to the Color Studio are stored privately and only ever shown to you. Only upload fonts your license allows you to use this way. We will remove fonts on a valid rights-holder request.

6. Fair use of the service

Search engines, AI assistants and other tools are welcome to read Tinta — that is what the sitemap and llms.txt are for. You agree not to:

• Use the Service for anything unlawful
• Send automated traffic heavy enough to degrade the Service for others, or get around its rate limits
• Attempt to break into, disrupt or reverse-engineer the platform's security
• Submit content that is offensive, hateful, plagiarised or misleading

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Tinta is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we are not liable for any loss of data or interruption to your workflow.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated terms.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from your use of the Service will be subject to the jurisdiction of Malaysian courts.
